Your Next Opportunity

Asia Pacific Aerospace (APA) is looking for a full-time NDT Technician (Workshop) based at Melbourne Airport, VIC.

In this role, you will report to the NDT Manager/Responsible NDT Level III and be responsible for conducting aviation Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to support maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting, reporting, and certifying NDT procedures using approved data for authorised methods
  • Meeting quality and compliance standards required by various airworthiness authorities
  • Reporting any equipment deficiencies to maintain operational standards
  • Maintaining Level II NDT certification and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring cleanliness and serviceability of NDT facilities at APA
  • Staying informed on civil aviation regulations related to NDT operations

What You’ll Bring to the Team

To qualify, you will need an NDT Technician Training Level II EN4179 certification in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Eddy Current and Ultrasonic testing.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain high technical, quality, and safety standards
  • Strong organisational skills, including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Effective customer communication and liaison skills
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally for customer support
